  1. That nonsense peddler, Edward Lear,
Wrote prose and poems meant to cheer.
They very often made no sense,
With made up words and such nonsense.
His Limericks p’raps, are most well-known,
Or that poem – how does it go?
    About a Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo?

    Tim Panini’s quite a card,
To make us laugh, he works so hard.
I have a stab at all his quizzes,
But rhyming is not my strong point.

Raise a glass to Edward Lear,
    And wish him, “Happy Birthday!”
Please add your lines and write them here,
    And enjoy a silly soiree!
    .

    That nonsense peddler, Edward Lear,
Wrote stuff that was really quite queer,
But when all said and done,
    his writing’s quite fun,
So there’s really nothing to fear.

    at Lim’rick’s he’s great,

want a diff’rent partner on the rear.

    That nonesense peddler, Edward Lear,
    wrote words which delightfully veer
    in ways unexpected
    but always delighted
the reader – for which we give cheer!
